What is The Buddyhood Shop?

The Buddyhood Shop is a place to browse books and the charities they support. Products are connected to causes, so choosing something you love can also support an organisation doing meaningful work.

How does shopping with Buddyhood work?

Choose something you love, see the cause that product supports, and your purchase helps that charity. The steps are on Our Mission.

How do I browse by charity?

Use the charity menu in the header, or open a charity to see the books and products connected to that organisation. You can also start from Our charity partners.

Can I search for a book?

Yes. Use the search in the header. You can choose a charity first, then search for a title within that cause.

How does a purchase support a charity?

Each product is linked to a charity partner. On the product page you can see which organisation that item supports.

How do I see which charity a book supports?

Open the book. The product page names the charity it supports and shows the share donated to that partner.

Where do I see the author, format, and seller?

On the product page, under the title. You will see the author, the format, and who the book is sold by when those details are available.

What is the difference between Add to Basket and Buy Now?

Add to Basket keeps the book in your basket so you can keep browsing. Buy Now takes that book toward checkout. Before checkout you will see a disclaimer, because the store is not live yet.

Can I share a book?

Yes. Use Share on the product page to send the link, or copy it if sharing is not available on your device.

Where is my basket?

The basket icon in the header opens it. From there you can review what you have added, open the full basket page, or choose Check out.

What does Proceed to Buy do?

On the basket page, Proceed to Buy starts checkout. You will be asked to confirm first. The store is not live yet, so an order placed now will not be fulfilled.

Orders

Can I place an order yet?

The shop is not live yet. You can look around, but an order placed now will not be fulfilled.

What happens if I continue to checkout?

You can continue to checkout, but this store is not yet live. Any order placed will not be fulfilled.

How do returns work?

Read Returns for how a return works. To tell us about a delivery problem, a missing item, or a return, use Contact us and choose Report an Order Issue.

Is checkout secure?

Yes. Checkout is powered by Shopify.

What happens if I open a charity's own website?

You will see a notice that you are leaving The Buddyhood. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of that site. Choose Cancel to stay here, or Continue to go to the charity's website.

Visit Our charity partners, or choose Discover by charity on Our Mission.
